As a child and young teen Kitty spent a lot of time with her aunt who was a nurse in a Boys Boarding School. There she was exposed to all of the things one associates with a British Boys School, witnessing spankings canings and various other punishments administered, by her aunt, the masters, and prefects. 
One of her favorite games when left in charge was capturing the boys and tying them up; hidden away in the school cellars she and the cooks daughter could tease and torment the helpless boys.
